By accessing or using CommitGen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CommitGen accepts a natural-language description of code changes and uses a third-party AI model to generate a Conventional Commits–formatted git command. The generated command is displayed to you for review; the Service does not execute any command or interact with your git repository directly.

3. No Warranty on AI Output

Commit messages and commands are generated automatically by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific repository or workflow. You are solely responsible for reviewing any generated command before copying, running, or otherwise acting on it. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any generated output.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit unlawful, malicious, or harmful content;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service;
• Submit sensitive personal data, credentials, or secrets as input.

5. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on a third-party AI provider (DeepSeek) to generate output. Availability, accuracy, and performance of the Service may be affected by factors outside our control, including the availability of this third-party provider.

6. Service Provided "As Is"

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, code, or business, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or reliance on any generated output.

8. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
